Speed paintings

I haven't done speed paintings in a long time. This summer i'm teaching a small digital painting course and I decided to return to speed painting. Since most of the students won't have a wacom/bamboo tablet with them, i did these paintings with the mouse.

i decided to try an meme on DeivantArt...its called "Draw this Again". Take an old drawing and redo it. I might do this with other paintings just to see. I'm getting better at this paintings, but i still have more room to improve!!

Ash Ketchum Vs the World & Limbo Time!

So I wanted to try my luck at T-shirt designs and i Made both of these shirts for the site "Teefury.com". I haven't gotten word back on either of them yet (takes about 2-4 weeks). I think the "Limbo Time" is out, but  who knows

Korey's Beaker Beanie

So while at comic con i wore my Beaker Beanie on Sunday to the spill booth. Korey seemed to like my Beanie, so i found him one on Amazon and sent it to him. He opened up the gift on there podcast "A Couple of Cold Ones". He liked it.

Some one said though "It looks like you skinned Beakers head and put it on yours..."

WonderCon: Beaker Beanie

So WonderCon was last weekend, and i had a very good time. It was the first time i was able to get into a comic con as a professional. I used my time to enjoy my-self and bought a Beaker beanie-hat thingy. I Also got a lot of really good deals on different comic books, which i have already started reading.

Ah...was a good break, now to get back to work.....

So i decided i'd try to something different with painting. i get to comfortable painting the same thing over and over again (people) that i thought i'd try and paint a puppet. The picture i referenced from is one of my favorites of Kermit because you can see the fabric. This is my first attempt at trying fabric so i know i'll get better at doing this.

My sessions from schoolism ended last week, and i recommend them to anyone thinking of trying it out. This was my final for the class. Its Kris Humphries looking stupid.

I feel i learned a lot in this class, and more that i need to keep practicing, like my painting/rendering techniques.
